Monday Mischief - Freddie Spaghetti's Addiction

"I Freddie Spaghetti have a confession to make."

"I am a closet toilet paper eater."
"Okay, and kleenex."

"There, I've said it."
"Whew! Does that feel better!"
"I know I'm two now and I shouldn't be doing these things anymore.  Lord knows I have tried to stop."
"And I did........for awhile."

"Momma even put the toilet paper back on the roll."

"I can't help myself sometimes though.  I just get these urges to feel that soft tissue shredding between my teeth and melting on my tongue. Oh, I know Momma's gonna be mad at me, but I just don't care at the time."

"I spit out that big wet wad and lay on the couch in a sort of tissue induced euphoria."

"Momma even thought she could hide the kleenex box in her nightstand. Pfft! Like that's gonna work!"
"I think Momma is just going to have to learn to live with my rebel ways."

"After all, we can't all be perfect like you know who!!

"I don't touch any tissue paper Momma!"

They say it takes 30 days to make or break a habit.  Freddie Spaghetti hadn't touched any toilet paper or tissues since February. Then this weekend he caved. So I guess that rule doesn't apply to dogs!

  4. I understand Freddie Spaghetti. I have a liking for Q-Tips. Yep I do. In the trash on the bathroom sink. No place is safe. Could be worse you could eat poop, right Gloria?

  5. Howdy Freddie Spaghetti, we're sorry about your addiction. Our angel brother Brucey had the same thing. He loves tissues and once pulled out a whole box before mum caught him. We hope you find a cure soon hehe. No worries, and love, Stellie Bellie and Ror Ha

  11. Hey Fred, Hey Gloria, Jet here. Hi Miss Janet.

Dude, my Mom calls me Jetty Spaghetti sometimes! BOL!

Dude, tell Mom that you had a slip, like those humans who participate in those "programs"... that you're willing to start rehab over IF: she gives you (fill in 3 choices)... See if that works!

Your "after" pic had Mom giggling out loud again!

  12. Rooo I'm with you Freddie! Have you tried kleenex with that yummy minty balm? (its the one the humans buy when they have a cold). It is the best thing right after an unsupervised toilet roll! *waggy tail*

  15. Mama has to put the trash barrels up because Bailey has a paper addiction, too. Thankfully he leaves the toilet paper alone, but tissues are another matter.

  16. I guess toilet paper and tissues are like cotton candy for dogs, huh?

  17. Oh Freddie, that pic of you laying on your back is hilarious! You do look like you have just come off of a toliet paper binge. Ok, now... get back on the wagon and try again. Maybe 90 days is the answer this time.

PS - so Freddie eats toliet paper and Gloria eats poo? I think they need to come together to solve their problems, LOL.

  18. I guess that tissue was just too tempting for Freddie...lol. So far the brown dawgs haven't seemed interested in tissues. Thanks goodness.

  19. LOL that's too funny! Gloria might not eat toilet paper, but she eats the stuff toilet paper is meant for! haha. Freddie, you look like how I feel after a turkey dinner in that one pic! :)

  20. Love that first picture of you. You don't look sorry at all about the toilet paper. Hahaha!

  21. Don't you know it the Tissue Monster Freddie Spaghetti? We have had those for years visiting our house on and off and they ALWAYS try to get us doggies in trouble - making it seem like WE did something. We have one living here at the moment - it doesn't like toilet paper - but doog of dog does it love the empty toilet rolls. It finds them in the trsh and shreds the cardboard all over the bedroom floor...and then leaves it there so WE get the blame for it. FIGHT AGAINST MONSTERS we say!

  22. LOL. Everyone has the, shall we say Odd, addiction I suppose. At least Gloria is an angel.....Right?

  23. Freddie, you are such the Rebel!! I will say that is a strange addition...but we all have our quirks! I will say, be careful when you stick your tongue out at your mom...she might get you fot that one! BOL!!

  27. Hey Freddy Busghetti... do you have a favorite Flavor? Like is Charmin better than Cottonelle or Scott? Kleenex or Puffs?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh no, not the tp!! Sometimes Finn carries around used paper towels. It is such a strange thing.

  29. Hey Freddie!

You are too goofy! Toilet paper really isn't a good source of fiber. Mischief is always so much fun!

  33. We don't suffer from it ourselves, but we have known other pups who are slaves to the TP addiction. It can be pretty powerful from what we can see!

  34. Freddie...I feel the same way about chocolate.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hahaha! Fred, you silly boy. Some addictions are just harder to break.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh dear. Toilet paper is the worst coming out!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love it! Do you ever grab the toilet paper and run? I haven't had a toilet paper loving pup yet, but I have friends with the addiction.

    Happy Monday!

  45. Hi Y'all,

Stoppin' to say "hi"! Thanks for stoppin' to visit me!

Oh Freddie, humans have no understanding about how the "urge to" is sometimes overwhelming.

Hope y'all had a fun weekend!!

  47. Freddie, I like Kleenex too, but my even dirtier secret is I like the balled up used ones. My people had to get all new trashcans with lids on them so I can't do it anymore, but if you leave one laying around, it's yummers time for Oskar.

Please not I do not feel the same about used toilet paper, and no there isn't any of that laying around our house, BOL!

  48. I was told by a leading trainer that dogs love toilet paper/tissues because it resembles the feel of bird feathers. It's really common in hounds and other hunting dogs because...well..the instinct to hunt is pretty much bred in!
